My Aunt Myrtle Hazel Spurr (1.2.3.2.3.3.6.) passed away in our home due to complications with pneumonia thus fullfilling a promise made to her by my father George A. Spurr (1.2.3.2.3.3.8) when she was 13 years old. She was stricken with polio at age 13 and remained crippled her entire life. My father-her brother- promised to take care of her for as long as he lived which he did. Myrtle lived with us as a part of our family for her entire life and was a never ending supply of stories and other forms of entertainment. She never married chosing only to help care for the children of her brother.
