Mrs. Roy Bryarly Succumbs After Lingering Illness
Mrs. Helen Bryarly, 52, wife of Roy Bryarly, 605 Institute, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Porter Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.
A life-long resident of Porter county, she was born March 17, 1899, the daughter of Felix and Pauline (Gruse) Flitter, and was married to Roy Bryarly Aug. 1, 1919, in LaPorte. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Robert and Thomas; six brothers, Leo Flitter and George Flitter of Valparaiso, Frank Flitter of Wanatah, William Flitter of Florida, Felix Flitter of Hanna, and Joseph Flitter of LaPorte; five sisters, Mrs. K. Sillery of Hobart, Mrs. John Hoover, Mrs. Leonard Wolfe and Mrs. A. Moeschel, all of Michigan City, and Mrs. A. Woedke of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Catholic church. The Rev. Raymond Derrick will officiate, and burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bartholomew Funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until services Friday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
