Redmond J. Allman came from BANDON, County Cork, Ireland. The name of his Church Parish was BALLYLANGLEY. He sailed from Cobh (Cork) to the U.S. in 1848 on a ship called the LAUREL. His wife was Mary Ellen Coffey Allman. Together, they gave birth to thirteen children, six of whom passed in early childhood (Frank, Jennie, Adeline, Charles, Joanna & Stillborn Baby Boy, Patrick Redmond. Other children were Mary Ellen (Mollie) Allman Donaldson, Emma Allman Whalen, Alice Allman Hanratty, Elizabeth Allman Flaherty, Josephine Allman, Redmond Joseph Allman, Jr. & George Allman.
