Wallace Koch McLachlan died quietly January 21, 1996 at the age of 80.
Born November 9, 1915 in Salt Lake City, a son of Nephi E. and Elsa Koch McLachlan.
He attended East High School and graduated at age 14 and then attended the University of Utah. Wallace served an LDS Mission from 1935-1937 in Germany and Switzerland. He held many various positions in the LDS Church. He married Farris Hilton on April 10, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had a good life of 49 years and raised eight children. She preceded him in death in 1987. He married Willie Lee Wiseman on March 25, 1988. They traveled together and enjoyed their time with each other and friends. He loved music and always loved to learn. Wallace looked forward to watching sports and loved to read.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Lee of St. George; children, Mrs. Keith "Patricia" Quick, Utah; Karen Cazier, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; Kent (Butch) and wife, DeDe McLachlan of Quartz Hill, Calif.; Mrs. Alan "Barbara" Milliner; Robert McLachlan, all of Coalville, Utah; Mrs. Mike "Becky" Peterson; Mrs. Kyle "Carolyn" Halley; Michael McLachlan, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; 13 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren who all loved him very dearly. He will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 1996, 2 p.m. at the South Jordan Eighth Ward - South Jordan Country Park Fifth Ward, 1988 West 11400 So., South Jordan where friends may call one hour prior to services at the chapel. Friends may also call Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, 58 No. 100 East, St. George, Utah. Interment will be held at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah under the direction of Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, (801) 673-2454.
