Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran church for Mrs. Caroline Odekirk 64.

As Caroline Miehe, youngest daughter of Frederick and Sophia Miehe, she was born April 8, 1886, on a farm south of Maynard.

Her mother died when she was one year old.

She grew to young womanhood in the community of her birth and attended the school near her home.

On October 10, 1906, she was united in marriage to Bryon Odekirk of Randalia, and two children came to bless this union. A daughter, Ardath, now Mrs. D E. Paul, Fayette, and a son Arvid, of Maynard.

She was a member of the St. Pauls Lutheran church.

She is survived by her husband, daughter and son, seven grand children and three great grand children, two sisters, Mrs. Julia Meyer and Mrs. Emma Schmitt of Maynard, and four brothers, John, Albert, and Theodore of Maynard, and Fred of Swea City.

Interment was in Long Grove cemetery.

This community was shocked Saturday morning to learn that Mrs. Byron Odekirk had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, from which she passed away this Tuesday morning. She is survived by her husband, daughter Ardath, Mrs Paul of Fayette, and son Arvid of Maynard. Two sisters, Mrs. Julia Meyer and Mrs. Emma Schmitt of Maynard and four brothers, Theodore, John, and Albert of Maynard and Fred of Swea City. As Caroline Miehe she was born April 8, 1886, on a farm south of Maynard. At the early age of one year her mother died. She grew to young womanhood in our community.
