John was a 1953 graduate of Marmion Military Academy and graduated from St. Procopius College in Lisle in 1957. On September 12, 1970, John was united in marriage to Dorothy (Stull), in Aurora, IL. He was employed for over 20 years by the State of Illinois Employment Services, dedicated to helping people find work, until his retirement in 1992.
John was a member of St. Anne Church and will be remembered for his service as an usher of the parish for 10 years. He was also a member of the St. Anne Senior's Club of St. Anne Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Sucik of Sandwich, IL; 15 nieces; eight nephews and his brother-in-law, Ken Hall of Montgomery, IL.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen P. Sucik; three sisters, Ann (and the late Henry) Hettinger, Stephanie (and the late John) Galvin and Theresa Hall; his parents, Jacob and Veronica (Okapal) Sucik.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at 11:30 a.m from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Anne Church at 12 noon. Fr. Daniel Stempora will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2003 between the hours of 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506. (630) 898-8634.
