Col. Hoyt A. Winslow, 76, veteran of the Spanish-American War and one of the principal figures in obtaining the widening project for Ross Avenue, died Monday at his home, 3821 Ross. Services will be at 10 a. m. Friday in Weiland's Funeral Church. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park. He earned his rank in the United States Army in Florida and Cuba by heading a volunteer regiment during the Spanish-American War.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Winslow of Indianapolis, Ind.; son, Lewis H. Winslow, Pasadena, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. Frances Lovering, Melrose, Mass., and Mrs. Jean Gamble, Dallas.
