Fulton - Opal Herring Gaither, 94, died Dec. 9, 2007, at the North Miss. Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1913, to the late George and Daisy Allen Herring. She was an active member of Fulton United Methodist Church, a member of Ladies Circle and Wesley Sunday School Class. She was a registered nurse and was co-owner of Grady Gaither General Store for several years.

Services were Dec. 11 at the Senter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Fulton City Cemetery.

Survivors included three nephews, Clarke Holmes of Ridgeland, David Herring of Texas, and Westmoreland Degive of Georgia; one niece, Marsha Herring of Texas; and a host of extended Gaither family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Gaither; two sisters, Martha Holmes and Mary Degive; and one brother, George W. Herring Jr.
