Mrs. Anderson Dies Monday At Hospital
Mrs. Helen I. Anderson, 70, of 23 E. 7th St., wife of Ray M. Anderson, died at 6:40 a.m. yesterday in the Oil City Hospital. She was born in Pleasantville July 14, 1891, a daughter of Denzil E. and Ella Remington Strang, and was graduated from Pleasantville High School.
A resident of Oil City since 1918, she was married to Mr. Anderson April 9, 1909. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Grace Methodist Church where she was president of the Philathea Class and a member of the WSCS. She was also a member of the 50-Up Club of the YWCA.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Donald K. Anderson and Kenneth R. Anderson, both of Oil City; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson is also survived by a brother and sister, George E. Strang of Davison, Mich., and Mrs. Mary Strang Swift of Pleasantville. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Margaret Strang and Charlie R. Strang.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville.
