Of Barron Dies
At VA Hospital

Stanley Amundson, 52, long time parts manager for Peterson Motor Sales in Barron, died Tuesday at the Veterans hospital in Minneapolis after a lingering illness.

Funeral services are planned for 1:30 Thursday afternoon from the First Lutheran church at Barron with Rev. C.P. Thronson officiating and burial will be in Wayside cemetery. Friends may call this evening at the Rausch-Rockman Funeral chapel in Barron.

Mr. Amundson was born at Dallas Oct. 14, 1913 and spent his entire life in Barron County. He was married to Inez Halsted June 28, 1940 at Cresco, Iowa and spent 23 years at Peterson Motors Sales at Barron. He also worked five years as parts manager at Barron Implement.

He is survived by two sons, Marvin of Barron and Michael of Poskin; three grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Inga Clumpner of Barron, Mrs. Ardis Hanson, Mrs. Ellen Nelson and Mrs. Hannah Harstad, all of Eau Claire, Mrs. Lilly Anderson of Mikana, Mrs. Betty Klawiter of Phillips and Mrs. Minnie Halverson of Dallas and by five brothers, Harold and Dale of Barron, Oswald of Dallas, Carl of Ridgeland and Ralph of Pigeon Falls, Wis. His wife died in 1949.

NOTE:
Inez died while backing out of their driveway on Highway 8 in the city of Barron. Her two sons stayed with my family for a few days. Her husband was a very kind man.NW
