Obituary for Mrs. Mary Jane Beaman published in the Hillsboro Journal, February, 1926:

Mrs. Mary Jane Beaman, one of the pioneer residents of Montgomery County, died at 3:20 Tuesday morning at her residence in Nokomis following an illness of two weeks with uremic poisoning.
Mrs. Beaman was 85 years, five months and four days old at the time of her death. She was born September 28, 1830, in the vicinity of Hillsboro and spent the early part of her life in this part of the county. She was married to W. R. Beaman in Hillsboro in 1859.
To this union the following children were born: James L., who lives in Witt; Mrs. Laura B. Livergood of Stonington; Mrs. Estella Alford of Blaine, Montana; Mrs. Finia Schaefer of Nokomis, Herman of Nokomis, Mrs. Eva Randles of Nokomis, and William J. of Morrisonville. Mr. Beaman died March 8, 1908.
Surviving besides the children are the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Elizabeth Batchelor of Denver, Green Landers of Nokomis, Mrs. Tibetha Duckett of Taylorville and Steve Landers of the state of Washington.
Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock this morning at the Fairview Church, North of Nokomis, the Rev. Mr. Martin, pastor of the Methodist Church in Nokomis, officiating. Interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
