J.F.X. "Jim" Conmy died February 2, 1993, at the age of 93. Mr. Conmy was born December 3, 1899 in Pembina, the youngest of 11 children of Edward & Celine Conmy. He decided to follow in his father's footsteps and go into the legal profession. He graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law and practiced law in Fargo and Bismarck. He married Marcella Eiermann in Madison, WI on June 12, 1930. He went on to serve as president of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and the State Deputy of the North Dakota Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Conmy is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen & Bishop Cornwell of Tempe, AZ; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dr. Michael and Patricia of Waukesha, WI, Dr. Walsh and Shirley of Modesto, CA; Patrick and Jo of Bismarck, and James of Hong Kong. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward; mother, Celine; and daughter-in-law, Susan.
