Funeral Services Held In Lebanon Tuesday for John W. Bullington

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Lebanon at the
Methodist Church, for John W. Bullington, 85, who died at
his home there Monday of a heart attack after a week's
illness.
A retired school teacher, he had lived in Lebanon for 35
years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the
Masonic Lodge.
A native of Putnam County, Mr. Bullington spent his active
teaching life in Putnam and Fentress Counties. He was
twice married, the first time to Evalin Angeline Essex. Of their children, five
survive. They are L.L. Bullington of Baxter; L. M. Bullington of Baxter; L.M.
Bullington of Cookeville; Marvin Bullington of Harriman; Mrs. Geneva Manning of
Sarasota, FL.
His second marriage was to Daisy Chambers on March 21, 1902, to which union
11 children were born, seven of whom survive. In addition to his widow, he is
survived by three daughers, Mrs. Audrey Roseborough, Deland, FL; Mrs.
Margaret Yahola, Wetumka, OK; Mrs. Rose Cremer, Orlando, FL, four sons, Pfc.
Otto Bullington, Fort Meade; Paul Orville Bullington of Old Hickory; Lt. Lilburn
Bullington, Norman, OK; and Charles Rhea Bullington, of Great Lakes, IL.
Two halfbrothers,
Jack and Sid Chisholm, of Berkley, CA, 22 grandchildren and
14 greatchildren.
