Born the fifith of five children, at home, 1562 Highland Avenue, which in 2011 is W.117th St., Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, OH.

Cause of death: Asphyxiation by amniotic fluid, 2 hours after birth. Mother: Katherine Rose GABRIEL (born/died/buried Shelby OH 1886-1959) Father: James Peter GARDNER Sr. (born Chicago IL 1885-died/buried Shelby OH 1950) (h&w).

Survived by brothers all born Shelby, Richland County, OH: Lawrence Henry (1910-1977); Leo John (1913-1956); James Jr. (1916-1979), and Henry Joseph (1919-1964). Mary Catherine may have been predeceased by a unnamed-sibling stillborn-fetus, born 1922.

Mary Catherine was the GRANDDAUGHTER of John Joseph GABRIEL (1850-1926) and Magdalena M. ZEIDLER (1851-1936) both of whom emigrated from Bohemia--John from Wilkischen and Magdalena M. from Meschowitz; they met in Ohio, and married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Plymouth, Richland County, OH, Nov 04 1874.

Mary Catherine was the GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER of John GABRIEL and Margaret BAUMOEL (h&w) and also the GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER of Joseph ZEIDLER and Cathrian MACH (h&w)--none of these four GREAT-GRANDPARENTS ever immigrated into America.
