Connie Sue Brooks, age 41 of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011.
She was born August 30, 1970, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth "Jane" Brooks of Valparaiso; longtime companion, Bobby Neisz of Michigan City; sons, Matthew Brooks of Valparaiso and Robert Lantz Jr. and Dylan Lantz, both of LaPorte; sisters, Carolyn (David) Isbister of Chesterton, and Sharon Brooks of Abilene, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, friends and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Brooks Jr.
Connie formerly worked as a Nurses Aide, working for Whispering Pines and Waters of Duneland Nursing Homes. She was an animal lover and enjoyed American Indian culture and crosswords. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, Indiana.
Connie will be buried with her father at Felts Chapel Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky at a later date.
