son of Kaspar and Anna. Brother of Gus Kneessi, Anna Kelly, and Minnie Gassman. Partner with Gus in K. Kneessi Sons firm (makers of luggage, trunks, harness, and other leather goods)from 1890-1927 and with his father before that. One of the 1st in D.C. to sell the then new Kodak Brownie camera for home use back in the early 1900s. Active Mason and several other fraternal groups such as the Eagles. Active user of early radio transmissions from remote areas in the 1920s in S. Md. Trunks his firm made still show up here and there; one reason is that his firm had a contract to supply each member of the U.S Congress with luggage and trunks. At Cobb Island, Md he was one of the 1st lot buyers in the mid 1920s. He served on the 1st board of directors which was set up to run the affairs of the island in 1925.
