DOROTHY L ATKIN--91: formerly of Linesville, passed away on Wednesday [9-21] in St. Paul's, West Salem Township, where she had resided for more than a year. Born 18 Mar 1920, Mrs. Atkin was a daughter of Frank & Ada Evans Martin. Dorothy had worked at Blazon in Jamestown, as well as Talon & Rusco Industries-both Meadville. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Linesville, & attended the Comrads Sunday school class. She enjoyed playing bingo & Mahjong. Dorothy was a great cook & loved cooking for her family. For more than 25 years, she enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter.
She married Arden James in 1938; he preceded her in death in 1953. She then married Blaine Foust in 1955; he passed away in 1970. She later married Audley Atkin in 1973; he passed away in 2002.
Survivors include: a son, Richard James (sp-Linda)-Conneaut Lake; 3 daus: Nancy DeHart (sp-Dale)-LovesPark IL; Janet Moyer (sp-Don)-Whitsett NC; & Janice Uzarski (sp-Gerald)-Greenville; 2 step-daughters, Lillian Lowther (sp-Albert)-The Woodlands TX; and Connie Cummings (companion-James Jaffko)-Meadville; 12 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 40 gr-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; 3 bros: Jim, Walt and Harry Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her three husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a step-grandson, Craig Cummings & 3 bros: Virgil, Robert and Howard Martin.
