Norman died while incarcerated at the Colorado State Penitentiary. He was incarcerated in 1931 for burglary and again in 1938 for murder. There's a newspaper article about a robbery at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. During a botched robbery attempt and in a state of panic, Norman shot and killed a security guard at the Broadmoor Hotel. My grandmother, Evelyn visited him many times while he was incarcerated. Since Norman's mother, Margaret (my grandmother's aunt) was living in California and it was such a distance for her to travel she would ask my grandmother to visit on her behalf. My grandmother was always pleased to help her aunt in anyway that she could. My grandmother did not drive so she would take the bus on Saturdays to visit Norman and she would always take him care package from his mom.
