Composer, Musician. He was the originator of the orchestrations for Tango music for American bands, arranging with and for such greats as Glenn Miller, Arte Shaw, and the Dorsey Brothers, all of whom worked with him on the Ben Pollack Orchestra in the 1920s. He worked for NBC Radio in New York and Los Angeles, composing and arranging many theme songs, including "The Woodbury Soap Hour" music. He was a Charter Member of the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters, and supporters of the arts in Los Angeles, California.
