Susan married Sion Murphy III, on Mar 11, 1798, in Union Co SC. She was the daughter of Robert White Sr & Mildred "Milly" White, of Union Co.

Susan's husband Sion is a proven Revolutionary War Veteran.

Susan's children were educated, and wrote many family letters, some still in the family, were productive citizens and contributed much to their localities. The White and Murphy familes, lived in close proximity to each other, in Union Co SC, early pioneer families, that helped shape our nation.

Locally the cemetery is known as the "Murphy Cemetery", and on the former Grant Lands of Sion's father, later to become Sion & Susan's home place.

Sion Murphy is on the census in Union Co SC from 1800-1840, and his wife Susan

is on the 1850 at 70 yrs old and living with son Isaac, and daughter Sylvia, Susan

died 1851..

Susan's Will was published in Union Co SC Will Book C - Page 25.

Will is dated 29 Dec 1849. Her Will Probate is in the same Will book,

it was Proven and Ordered in 1851, by B Johnson, Ordy.

Susanna is recorded selling her lands to her children after her husbands death,

She sold land to son Isaac Murphy, book V15. Page 123, 1850, Union Co SC, she

also sold land to son Jason Murphy, book Y17, Page 302, 1852. As Susan died

Apr 1851, it may be the 1852 sell was processed after her death. The other children,

of Sion and Susan had moved away to GA, etc.
