He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Wierzchowski Baker; and a sister, Edna Faye Lewis.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Baker Chapman and her husband, Mark, of Arlington, Va.; two sons, Bert R. Baker Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Erie and Guy Irwin Baker of Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Burial, with full military honors, at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' & Sailors Home Cemetery.
