PIONEER COVINGTON CITIZEN SUCCUMBS
Mrs. Elizabeth Aplin, a pioneer citizen of Covington County and who lived in the Adellum community, died Sunday morning at the ripe old age of ninety, after an illness of long duration. Mrs. Aplin was a native of Covington County and before her marriage was Miss Elizabeth Tompkins,. The Tompkin family was among the early settlers in this county.
The deceased is survived by three sisters, all of whom attended the funeral and burial. They are: Mrs. Ella Parrish, Miss Manda Tompkins and Mrs. Mollie Russell.
Funeral services were conducted from the M.W. Rabren home near Adellum where death occurred, Monday afternoon by M.W. Houriham, pastor of the Christian church of Andalusia, after which interment was made in Adellum cemetery with arrangements by Patrick.
