Mrs. Jacob Adams, who resides about five miles southeast of Tampico, died Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, 1884, of lock-jaw. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the house and the remains were taken to the Whittington cemetery for interment.

(Note: Whittington Cemetery is also knownas Greenville/Fairfield Cemetery and is currently known as Union Cemetery).
