Dora Marie Berzett, 70, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery with Randall Hammock and Rodney Britton officiating.
Mrs. Berzett was born January 31, 1941, in Limestone County to Luther E. Haggermaker and Bertha King Haggermaker. Mrs. Berzett was a member of the Hays Mill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bertha Haggermaker; sister, Joyce Williams; four brothers, Roger, Walton, Edward and Junior Haggermaker; and stepdaughter, Barbara B. Miller.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Berzett of Elkmont; son, John Q. Berzett and wife Sonya of Athens; daughter, Jennifer Morrison and husband Bobby Jr. of Huntsville; stepdaughter, Donna Butler of Athens; stepsons, Sammy Berzett and wife Keila of Elkmont, Ricky Berzett and wife Lila of Athens; sister, Margaret Holt of Owosso, Mich.; two grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
