A. T. BEAN, 71, of Memphis, retired from Delta Air Lines as an operations coordinator, retired owner of Allen and Bean Magnavox Centers and retired from Shelby County Criminal Court, died of heart failure Friday at Methodist Healthcare-South.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gracewood Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and member of the church choir, with burial in Itawamba Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Miss. Forest Hill Funeral Home South has charge.

Mr. Bean, the husband of Sarah C. Bean, also leaves three daughters, Deborah Bean Campbell of Memphis, Libby Bean Burdick of Lakeland and Holly Bean Claypool of Franklin, Tenn; a son, Michael E. Bean of Douglasville, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Sue Hassell of Tupelo, Miss., and Catheryn Primm of Nashville; a brother, Edward Bean of Nashville, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or Gracewood Baptist Church.
