Lucy Faye Kirkpatrick Arrington, 88, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was born in McDowell County on October 13, 1922. In death she rejoins her beloved twin brother, Jay, her parents, William and Addie Rogers Kirkpatrick and a granddaughter, Angela Renee Sherrill.

She enjoyed gardening, going to church, and crocheting. In her younger years she enjoyed making blue grass music.

She was married 66 years to Marvin Arrington and also is survived by; two daughters, Betty Francis and her husband, Bob and Phyllis Ledbetter and her husband, Don; a brother, French Kirkpatrick and his wife, Judy; two sisters, Ruth Henson and her husband, Jerry and Helen Icard; a grandchild, Ronny; two step grandchildren; a great granddaughter, Abi and five step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Panther Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Ronnie Greene and Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
