Doll was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Funkhouser and Mary Ann Brannan. She married William Thomas Beck in 1893. They had issue of eleven children. Mary, Martha, Marshall, Myrtle. Willie, Eve. Marland, Mildred, Mabel and Maggie. Eliza died giving birth to Maggie in 1917.
