Harry Strandgard Anderson was born in Laramie, Wy, Jan. 15, 1895, to Chris and Karen (Hansen) Anderson. His family moved to Market Lake, Idaho, now called Roberts, in 1901.
In 1910, at the age of 15, Harry joined his father working on the section crew for the Union Pacific Railroad. Harry later took up telegraphy, and in 1913 served as relief operator and agent. In 1916, Harry became the depot agent at Roberts until retirement in 1965.
On December 24, 1916, Harry married Minnie French. They had two children. Harry W. Anderson and Irene Minnie Anderson. His wife Minnie died in 1922.
On Dec 17, 1923, Harry married F. Leola Marriott in Dillon, Montana. They had a daughter, Betty Jean Anderson in 1925, and Harry then adopted Leola's son, Jack.
He was a charter member of the Roberts Lions Club and received the Lion of the year award. He was a master of Eagle Rock Lodge, #19 AF&AM, a member of the Masonic Temple in Idaho Falls, and served as the secretary of the Roberts Cemetery.
Harry had four sisters, Mabel (B.L.) Harris, Clara (Ivan) Pentecost, Agnes (Harold) Pentecost, and Hazel (Alfred) French.
He was an avid fisherman and love going fishing with his grandkids. At the time of his passing, he had 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
