Evelyn Jane Womble, 59, was taken into God's hands on Friday, September 15,2000, after a long illness at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2000, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, Galveston,Texas, with Elder Stephen Stone officiating. Graveside service swill follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday,September 17, 2000, at the funeral home.Mrs. Womble was born July 5,1941, in Ammansville, Texas,to Edward and Annie KrupalaJalufka. She loved to fish, always sharing her catch with family and friends. She was employed as a server at K-Mart in the food service area for 5 years before her health required her to retire. She was known for her generosity and caring spirit, always willing to help others. She was a wonderful mother and sister dedicating her life to her family and friends.Preceded in death by her father,Mrs. Womble leaves to cherish memories of her life, her mother, Annie Jalufka of Galveston; husband, Kenneth Womble of Galveston; daughter, Tammy Lynn Montalbano and husband, Louis, of Galveston: son. Craiee Lee Womble of Galveston; sisters, Carolyn Devoll and husband, Herschell, of Galveston, Anne Stone of Galveston and Gloria Bero and husband, Robert, of Longview, Texas; brother, Edward Jalufka Jr. and wife, Lynn, of Galveston; and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.Pallbearers will be Stephen Stone, Kenneth Stone, Eric Stone, Herschell Devoll, Edward Jalufka Jr. and Robert Bero.
