Mrs. Emma A. Fick, 75, of 1605-A Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval Kock will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Fick, nee Emma Carstens, was born Oct. 13,1894, at Newton, daughter of the late Ernst and Anna Wehausen Carstens. She was married to Oscar Fick in 1918 at Newton. Her husband preceded her in death in 1921. She had been employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. until 1960.
Survivors include a son, Oscar, of Evanston, IlI., a sister, Mrs. Ida Rodewald, of Manitowoc, and a grandson. Four brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Thursday until Friday noon, when the casket will be moved to church to lie in state until the time of services.

Widow Killed by Head Blows
Local law enforcement authorities Wednesday were still trying to establish a
definite motive in the death of a 75-year-old Manitowoc widow whose body was
found in the rear of St. Mary Catholic Cemetery late Tuesday morning.
The victim was identified as Mrs. Emma A. Fick, who lived alone in a three
room apartment at 1605-A Marshall St.
An autopsy Tuesday evening showed that the woman was killed by repeated blows
to the back of the head, according to Dr. Theodore Teitgen, Manitowoc County
coroner. Dr. John Fodden, a pathologist, performed the autopsy.
Doctor Teitgen listed the cause of death as a cerebral hemorrhage resulting
from a compound skull fracture.
Seven Blows
"She received at least seven different blows to the back of the head, any of
which could have caused death," he said. Time of death was set at from 9:30 to
11 a.m. Tuesday.
