Albert Pasquale Amicucci, 89, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Donora died on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Monday, December 12 1921, in Donora the son of the late Christino and Adeline (Campaglai) Amicucci.

Albert was a proud Army Veteran of WWII who served in an artillery unit.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg since 1964 and was a life member of the Mechanicsburg Club, a member of the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109, the Mechanicsburg VFW, and the Disabled American Veterans.

Albert received an award for voting over fifty consecutive years and helped to work the polls for many years.

He was an avid sports fan enjoying being an armchair quarterback for many years. He loved watching both the Steelers and the Pirates.

Albert was fiercely proud of his family and was a deeply loving and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was the widower of Frances Julia (Devigne) Amicucci who died on November 17, 2004 and whom he married on April 11, 1958.

Among those preceding Albert in death are his brother: Joseph Amicucci.

His survivors include his four loving children (two sons and two daughters); five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren: Frank Amicucci with his wife Traci and their son Anthony all of Mechanicsburg; John Amicucci of Mechanicsburg; Deborah "Deb" Stephens and her daughter Nicole Ascani with her husband Kyle Ebersole and their children Chase and Riley all of Mechanicsburg; Margaret "Peggy" Stoy with her husband James and their children Logan, Keenan, Gemma all of Carlisle; two brothers, four sisters and several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Albert's family at his viewing on Monday, October 3 2011, from 05:00 to 07:00 PM at Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 04, 2011, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.

Burial will immediately follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
