A private memorial service will be held for Joyce Ann Liester of McMinnville.
Mrs. Liester died June 10, 2003, in Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital of complications related to diabetes. She was 64.
Born July 4, 1938, in Tillamook, she was the daughter of LaVelle and Jack Kinman. She grew up in Neskowin. She attended Cloverdale Elementary School and Nestucca High School.
She and Ralph M. Liester were married in 1967 in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Liester lived in McMinnville for 28 years. She and her husband had previously lived in Gold Beach.
She enjoyed her cats. She loved her granddaughter, Sierra Resendez, with whom she enjoyed sharing snacks.
Family members said Mrs. Liester will be deeply missed as a mother and friend.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Liester and Ben Resendez of McMinnville; her brother, Hal Kinman of Amity; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996.
Arrangements are under the direction of Omega Funeral & Cremation Service, Portland.
