Rose was educated at St. Michael's School, then on to the Rochester Business Institute after High School. She worked at the Democrat & Chronicle for some years. She later took a job at Park Avenue Hospital. She was proficient in shorthand, was an excellent speller and had a penmanship that was beautiful. She will always be remembered by all 13 nieces and nephews on the Valente side of the family as the "Favorite Aunt". She was always full of fun, had lots of pep and always "up" for a trip to somewhere or to do something that was entertaining for all, never to seemingly tire of requests of any sort.

Rose married Ferdinand (Fred) Kuchman on June 16, 1945 in St. Michael's Church in Rochester, New York. They lived at 5 Avery St. and in 1950 moved to 1573 Chili Ave. They were both devout Roman Catholics, first at St. Helen's Church in Gates and then at St. Pius X Church.

Rose learned the art of selling homes, mainly in the 19th Ward of Rochester. She started her career with Kravetz Realty and ended with John T. Nothnagle Realty. She was a member of the "Million Dollar Club"

She resided at Woodside Manor, a skilled nursing facility for about eleven years before her death. Her Funeral Mass was at St. Ann's Church on Mt. Hope Ave. on April 27, 2000.
