Mr. Shadwell was born in Effingham County July 17, 1921 the son of John and Myrtle Shadwell. He married Ruth Baker in 1941.
He was retired from Fedders Corporation, Effingham, a member of Theodore Hoffman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, and was a Veteran of US Army in World War II. His rank was Tec 5.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Richard of Hillboro, Kenneth of Decatur; brother Fred Hosman of Effingham; sister, Anna Marie Manuel of Monee; and six grandchildren.
