The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Shadwell was born in Effingham County July 17, 1921 the son of John and Myrtle Shadwell. He married Ruth Baker in 1941.
He was retired from Fedders Corporation, Effingham, a member of Theodore Hoffman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, and was a Veteran of US Army in World War II. His rank was Tec 5.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Richard of Hillboro, Kenneth of Decatur; brother Fred Hosman of Effingham; sister, Anna Marie Manuel of Monee; and six grandchildren.
