Riverius Jr., Waynes father ran the post office in Gustavus where his wife transacted most of the business, Riv. Jr. was also a tax collector for Trumbull Co. and Justice of the Peace. Mr. R. Bidwell sold the farm in Gustavus in 1834 and moved to Kinsman.

Death records state that Wayne was born in Gustavus.
