Mae Louise Ader, age 96, of rural Coatesville (Groveland), passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
Born May 18, 1915 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leroy Franklin Alter and Wealthy Ann (Hossafous) Alter.

She married Howard Raymond Ader, and he preceded her.

Mae was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a graduate of Fillmore High School in 1933 and Central Normal College.

She had taught at Pittsboro, Amo, Groveland, Floyd Center, Belle Union, New Winchester, Stilesville, Clinton Center, Russellville and Bainbridge. She also taught homebound students.

She was a member of the Groveland Presbyterian Church and the Groveland Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Alan (Diana) Ader, Rockville, and Roger (Elizabeth) Ader, rural Coatesville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, and a brother Harry A. Alter preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fillmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers suggested memorials include: Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, Groveland Eastern Star or to the donor's preferred charity.

The Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville assisted with arrangements.
