Ernest T. Miller, 84, of Meyersdale RD 3 died Oct. 18, 1994, at
West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 23, 1910, in Meyersdale.
A son of the late Howard and Ethel (Thompson) Miller. Also preceded
in death by his wife, the former Helen Hay. Survived by three
daughters: Janet, wife of William Yutzy, Meyersdale RD 3; Sally, wife
of Andrew Vano, Carlos, Minn., and Doris, wife of James Stutzman,
Meyersdale RD 3. Eight grandchildren: Brian, Kevin, and Kyle Yutzy;
John, Julie and Mary Vano, and Becky and Marty Stutzman. Four
great-grandchldren: Kaela, Karter, Kortnie and Kalina Yutzy. A
brother of Carrie, wife of William Long, Meyersdale RD 3. Member of
the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren where he served as Sunday
School teacher, deacon and held numerous offices. Was named Citizen
of the Year in 1984. He was a 6th generation farmer, a maple
producer and former farm implement dealer. He was a reporter for the
National Weather Service. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral
Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the
Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Mike Swick and Pastor
John Glick officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Church
of the Brethren Memorial Fund.
