Oscar Yeater, 82, well known Bowman ridge farmer, died unexpectedly at his home at 4:30 o'clock this morning.

Although Mr Yeater had been in failing health for the past three years, he was up and about yesterday, being stricken seriously ill at 8 o'clock last night.

He was born on November 13, 1860, a son of the late Reason Yeater, and a member of the Bowman ridge Methodist church.

Surviving are five sons; William Lutes Yeater of Kausooth, Raymond of Charleston, John B of Triadelphia and Harold and George of Bowman ridge; four daughters, Mrs Arch Conner of California, Mrs Edna Ruckman of Monaca, PA, Mrs Bessie Wellman of Moundsville, and Mrs Elsie Bonar of Bowman ridge; one brother C E Yeater, Cameron; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His wife, Mrs Amanda Matilda Lutes Yeater preceded him in death on October 13, 1940. A daughter also preceded him in death.

The body was removed to the Riggs funeral home pending arrangements for the funeral.
