Hugo, Okla.--Funeral services for Pfc. Perry Jackson Conaway, who died in 1951 in a North Korean prison camp, were set here Monday at 2:30 p.m., Coffey Funeral Home having charge.
He was the son of Benjamin Conaway and Mrs. Clara Neighbors, and a brother of Donald Conaway, all of Hugo.
Private Conaway was born at Greenwood, near Antlers in Pushmataha County, July 18, 1932. He lived in Hugo 12 years before enlisting in the Army in 1950. He was taken prisoner, June 16, 1951, according to Army records, and died about four months later, at the age of 19.
The body arrived here Sunday afternoon, escorted by Master Sgt. Marion L. Solomon. The Rev. Bill Golden and the Rev. Jimmy Lick conducted the services and burial was made in Shoat Springs Cemetery.
