MARGARET O'CONNOR DEAD
Funeral for Edina Woman, the Last of The Family, Will Be Friday.
Miss Margaret A. O'Connor, of here, died in a Kirksville hospital at 9:42 o'clock Tuesday evening. She had been taken there after being seriously ill, and had been so a month.
Funeral services will be here at St. Joseph's Church at 9 o'clock Friday morning, conducted by the Rev. Terence Mullins, and interment will be in the New Catholic Cemetery.
Miss O'Connor, daughter of Charles and Catherine O'Connor, was born in Milwaukee, Wis. When a small child she, with her parents, came to Knox County and settled on a farm northeast of Edina. In 1910 they moved to Edina. She was the last of a family of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Miss Mayme and Miss Catherine O'Connor and two brothers, Charles J. O'Connor, who died Nov. 15, 1940, and Dr. L. J. O'Connor, who died in July, 1946.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Perry W. Porter, Jr., of Kirksville and a nephew, Buell O'Connor, of Tulsa, Okla., a son of the late Charles J. O'Connor. Mrs. Porter is a daughter of the late Dr. O'Connor. There are two grand-nephews, Charles O'Connor II and Lawrence Buell O'Connor, Jr. of Arlington, Va., sons of the late Lawrence B. O'Connor.
