Lester was my mother's brother. He was the son of Ira E and Bessie Bird Brooks. On Oct. 3, 1943 he married Pansy Mae Howard, who preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1987. He lived in Saline County all his life and he was a retired farmer and factory worker.
He had one daughter, three brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Dale Brooks who died in infancy and Franklin (Sonny) Brooks who was killed serving his country in Vietnam.
