Andres Vargas, also known as "Papa" to everyone in his family and "Chino Vargas" by his friends back in Puerto Rico, migrated to New York City in the late 1940s to early 1950s to find work to support his beautiful wife Delores Vargas and his six children (Luis, Loly, Radames, Nilda, Lucy and Willie) back at Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. He was a house painter by trade but was able to build or repair almost anything.
Papa was loved by his family and is truly missed by those who have shared laughs, life and love with him. We are all proud of him and all his accomplishments, especially this accomplishment, raising the VARGAS/SANCHEZ family.
His brother in-law and best friend Jimmy Leon died recently, I bet they're having so much fun up there now.
