Film producer and executive. A native of New York, New York, he was born on September 23, 1909, where he later graduated from Columbia University with an undergraduate and several law degrees. He began his career when he joined the Paramount Pictures legal team in New York City, and then later joined Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California. In 1952 he became involved in film productions when he joined Revue Productions. In 1953 he left Revue and joined United Artists, where he served as Vice-President in Charge of Productions and West Coast Operations for 13 years. In 1966 he began an independent film production company, and from 1977 to 1981 he served as Director of the American Film Institute West Coast Operations. In 1960 he produced the Oscar-nominated film, "Bound For Glory" about folk singer Woody Guthrie. He also produced, "Yours, Mine, And Ours" in 1968, starring Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball, and "Pieces Of Dreams" in 1970.
