Barbara Ingram Barlowe, 52, of the Glenwood community, died Monday, August 15, 1988.
A native of Avery County, she was a daughter of Hobert and Eva Taylor Ingram of the Newland area. She was a member of the Providence Home Extension Club and a former member of the Pilot Club of Marion. She was formerly associated with the nursery of the First Baptist Church of Marion and a substitute teacher in the junior high and high schools.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Cecil J. Barlowe; and four sisters, Shirley McGalliard of Glen Alpine, Merle Price of Charlotte, Grace Baird of Morganton and Minerva Jean Carpenter of Hickory.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 1988 in the Glenwood Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Jim Brewer will officiate. Burial was in McDowell Memorial Park.
