Van Man, 80, Dies Monday

Sheldon B. Blauser, 80, of Van RD 1, a lease worker and farmer, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Blauser was born March 2, 1878, in Venango County, a son of William and Ursulla Houser Blauser.

Surviving are 11 children: Burdelll, Paul and Harold of Van, Mrs. Elmer (Evelyn) Weaver of Venus, Mrs. Raymond (Leola) Karns of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Mrs. Otha (Marian) Harmon of Seneca; Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Knight of Riceville; Mrs. Edwin (Lois) Bidwell of Lincolnville; Mrs. Raymond (Elsie) Miller of Oil City RD 2; Norman of Greenville; Wilmer of Franklin RD 2.

A son Thurston and a daughter Carmen are dead.

Also surviving are four brothers, Nathaniel, Harry, Howard and Orrin, all of Oil City; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Solinger of Van and Mrs. Grace Hulings of Tyronville; 56 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in charge of Rev. Harvey Books, pastor of the Fertigs Gospel Tabernacle. Interment will be in Perry Cemetery in Fertigs.
