Jim Delbert Pattison, 78 year old Checotah resident passed away quietly at his home Thursday, September 29, 2011.

Jim was born on Wednesday, September 20, 1933 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Arthur and Dimple (Burris) Pattison. Jim grew up in Centralia, northeast Oklahoma, and graduated from Vinita High School in 1951. He worked with his uncle delivering milk on a milk route.

Jim moved to Tulsa where he began working for Dickson-Goodman Lumber Company as a salesman. From there he worked construction for the Tulsa Acoustic Company. Jim owned and operated Oil Capital Acoustics. After selling his business, he went to work for Green Country Interiors where he became an estimate assessor for construction jobs, retiring from the business in 1990.

On Monday, January 13, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jim married Ms. Laura Peace. In 2003 they moved to Checotah.

Jim loved to tinker and could fix anything that was broken. He was a member of the Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dimple Pattison.

Graveside services for Jim will be 1PM Monday, October 3, 2011, Rossville Cemetery, Rossville Community, with Mr. Ronnie Peace and Pastor Tim Turner officiating. (Garrett)
