"John F. Ritter, Jr., son of John and Rosa Ritter, died of malignant sarcoma on Sept. 3. He was ill about a year, and was taken sick when working in a logging camp at Scappoose, Ore. He was born April 7, 1879, and leaves four brothers and four sisters. Rev. Emil Lehrer of Philips conducted the funeral services, and there was a large assemblage of mourners."
