Harold W. Brecheisen age 100, of Rushville, finished his race at 1:28 PM, Sunday, October 2nd at Rush Memorial Hospital.

Harold was born in Rushville, IN December 18, 1910, the son of the late John H. and Amelia (Hollenbeck) Brecheiesen. He was married to Ruth Rehme in 1942 and she died in 1975. He then fell in love with and married Juanita Webb Mohler in 1981. She also preceded him in 2007.

He was a 1929 graduate of Rushville High School and was involved in many community and civic organizations in Rushville throughout his life. Memberships include the Knights of Columbus 769 and St. Mary Catholic Church. Harold was well known for running the Coca Cola bottling company where he retired as the bookeeper. Throughout his life he did every single job within the plant. He drank Coke every day of his life and as he often said "I enjoyed every one of them!"

Harold's surviving family include two step daughters, Donna (Larry) Stevens of Rushville and Debra Sue (Kim) Yarnelli of Tampa, FL; four step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren. Also, great nephews William (Sharon) Newhouse, John Newhouse Jr., Chris Newhouse, Philip (Amy) Newhouse, Anthony (Marsha) Newhouse, and great niece Teresa (Lynn) Gorrell survive. He is also survived by several great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two wives, four brothers (John Howard Brecheisen). (Edwin Brecheisen) & four sisters (Dorothy Brecheisen Rehme) (Agatha Brecheisen Bohannan) (Irma Brecheisen Hall).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church Wednesday October 5th, with Rev. Jeremy Gries officiating. Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory.
