Jason was the son of Jason Cady and Hannah Marsh of Shelburne, Mass. and Waterbury, Vermont. He married three times: (1) about 1802 to Phebe AUSTIN; (2) about 1818 to Mary "Polly" BUTLER; and (3) in Waterbury, VT 2 Feb 1823 to Eleanor COFFIN. b. roughly 1795 (aged 30-39 in 1830). Jason appears to have been widowed yet again by 1840, when he is almost certainly the male, 50-59, living in the household of his son, Enos W. Cady, in Stowe, VT. He continued to live with Enos, and in 1850 the family was living in Wyandote Co., Ohio, and by 1856 they were in Jones Co., Iowa where Jason died.
