He was a lifelong farmer living north of Coon Rapids and was one of the first seed corn salesmen for the former Garst and Thomas Hybrid Seed Corn Company. Funeral services were at the United Methodist church with the Rev. Alfred E. Rau officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Coon Rapids, will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mr. BELL is survived by his wife Ruth RAFFERTY BELL; two daughters; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and a brother Viv Bell, Glidden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Millard (Buzz) BELL and a grandson David HACHMEISTER.
Mr. BELL was born June 4, 1907, near Coon Rapids, a son of Henry and Ida DAVIS BELL. He attended rural schools and graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1925. On June 23,1928, he was married to Ruth RAFFERTY. They moved to Coon Rapids in 1969 and he retired from active farming last fall. He was a charter member of the Carroll Elks Lodge.
